The project:
"Play for Gods" is one of the visual outputs produced during the three-year research project "Creative Practice and New Aesthetics in South Asia"
The project aimed to examine the social impact of creative projects in South Asia.
My research focused on the analysis of contemporary art practice in Nepal.
The three-year project was funded by Ev-K2 Committee (Bergamo, Italy), the Italian National Council of Scientific Research (CNR) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Outputs:
Two books have been published as a result of the research conducted in Nepal: Ritual Art of the Kingdom of Mithila: Traditional Paintings by Janakpur Women in Nepal (2008) and La Montagna Divina: Iconografia e Mito (2006).
The following exhibitions were also produced in the framework of the research project: Tropical Lomo (2010), at The Arches. Glasgow, UK; Raining Buddhas (2009), at Area Privata Gallery. Perugia, Italy; Winter Monsoon  (2008) at Fahrenheit 451. Rome, Italy, and Play for Gods, at Grande Casa d'Arte. Spello, Italy.
